UOW Options Day offers multiple pathways for students

Students thinking about university study invited to talk to course experts

The University of ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ (UOW) will hold an Options Day at its ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ and Liverpool campuses on Friday 15 December 2023.

The event will focus on providing advice and support for students thinking about studying at the University.

Interim Deputy Vice-Chancellor Senior Professor Eileen McLaughlin said the University will have course experts, support services and current UOW students on hand to provide course eligibility advice, career advice, enrolment help and more.

“When ATAR results come out on 14 December, we want to make sure our future students have the support they need to find their own unique pathway to UOW,” Professor McLaughlin said.

“To help them make sense of their ATAR results and understand their options, we are holding an Options Day at our ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ and Liverpool campuses on Friday 15 December.

“I encourage all students thinking about university study to come along on Friday and talk to our course experts. They can help you navigate your options for 2024 and help you explore what course options are available with your ATAR.

“For those students who don’t get the ATAR result they hoped for, remember that there are many alternative pathways into university.

“We work closely with UOW College to provide clear pathways for students into university courses via Diploma and other pathway programs supported by government funded student places. We have many success stories of students who have entered undergraduate degrees this way and have gone on to great successes at university and in their careers.

UOW Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Louise Hickman (Health – Sydney Campuses) said Options Day will provide students with the opportunity to learn more about studying at UOW and have their questions answered by experts.

"Options Day at the Liverpool campus is designed to offer students a seamless and enriching experience as they explore diverse pathways into university,” Professor Hickman said.

“Our commitment is to empower students with the knowledge and resources they need to make informed choices, ensuring a smooth transition into higher education and a promising future ahead."
