UOW maintains position in top 200 institutions in global rankings
Rankings demonstrate UOW's strong graduate employability outcomes
The latest QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2022 has placed the University of ý (UOW) in the 181-190 band globally for graduate employability outcomes.
UOW remained a top performer in its graduate employment rate indicator (85.6%).
The rankings result stems from UOW’s commitment to undertaking world-class research and providing quality teaching and facilities to students, backed by industry experts and employer connections.
The University offers work-integrated learning programs tailor-made for students to gain and develop skills while pursuing their degree at UOW. These programs enable students to develop problem-solving, analytical and research skills that meet current industry and employer needs.
UOW Vice-Chancellor Professor Patricia M. Davidson welcomed the rankings result, saying it reflects UOW’s commitment to producing highly skilled graduates that meet employer expectations and who are ready for real-world challenges.
“The University remains focused on producing career-ready graduates through practical learning programs that meet employer expectations, and connecting students with employers while they are studying for their degree,” Professor Davidson said.
“UOW places great importance in building programs and projects that are purposefully designed, practical in nature and guided by industry experts.”
The Graduate Employability Rankings seek to compare the employability outcomes of higher education institutions worldwide by considering the reputation of institutions among employers, how the universities nurture students and their connections with industry partners and companies.
This year, the ranking agency included 786 institutions in its evaluation, up from 758 in the previous year’s edition and published the results for the top 550 universities, a 10% jump from previous years.
